Higher-Purpose - El Shaddai Resource Centre is a faith based organization established in 1990. It is a service providing ministry across barriers of culture, religion, gender, caste and creed.
HOW AND WHY DID ESRC COME INTO EXISTENCE? Taking Psalm 67 as our foundational basis we launched our first integrated mission project in 1990 to cater to the spiritual and social needs of our multi-ethnic society. It is a ministry born out of a God given vision to promote holistic social and Spiritual advancement through teaching, training, advocacy, seminars, workshops, and conferences. We focus on creating conducive environment for transformation, and development of human potentials, and to assist the under-privileged people through such means and facilities that will enable them to become independent and self-reliant.
OUR CONTEXT: With the concept of global village becoming a reality the need for a focused and value-based approach is vital. It is situations such as this that calls the Church to be in the market place. ESRC works in partnership with the Church keeping this in perspective.
VISION: “Our vision is to reach the world beyond our homes and society with the message of Christ's redeeming love, and to see people living with hope in peace, unity, love and dignity. That in finality each person will be immersed in the values of Christian teaching and conform to the image of Jesus Christ.
MISSION-PURPOSE: Our mission is to pass on the message of love and hope in action. Our pupose is to help rebuild and restore broken lives and society as we seek to serve the people God has created in His image; and to be good stewards of the resources available to us. We desire to see that the rights of every indiviidual be honoured, and the underprivileged lifted up, and all necessary assistance available be made accessible to them as we advocate for them in our world of injustice and poverty, physically and spiritually. By translating faith and love in action we believe that we are contributing to the fulfillment of the Great Commision; and it is our passion that each contact we make will find the eternal purpose of life in Jesus Christ.
That the world will know Him and worship the Living God. |
